制裁

In the event a student is found guilty of violations to the 学术诚信 policy, the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) will provide documentation to the student regarding their level of violation.

The office of the VPAA will send a letter to the student informing him/her of the 学术诚信 violation and possible consequences of future violations to the policy.

在这个层面上, the student must meet with the program director to discuss the 学术诚信 policy and remediate as appropriate. The program director must document what remediation was given.

Second violation: 学术诚信 Probation

The office of the VPAA will send a letter to the student informing him/her of the second 学术诚信 violation and possible consequences of future violations to the policy.

The student is then placed on 学术诚信 probation, which entails the following:

  • A student is placed on 学术诚信 probation for his/her second violation to the 学术诚信 policy. A notation is placed in the student’s file to serve as an alert to the student that his/her academic behavior is unacceptable and to impress upon them the importance of giving serious attention to their academic integrity behavior in order to continue to be a student at PG电子APP.
  • The student will remain on 学术诚信 probation until graduation.

Third violation: Dismissal from the College

The office of the VPAA will send a letter to the student informing him/her of the third 学术诚信 violation and dismissal from the College.

学术诚信 policy violations that involve substantial dishonesty, pre-meditation and disregard for the 学术诚信 policy may warrant a more severe sanction regardless of prior violation.

正当程序

Academic integrity issues should be resolved at the lowest level possible. 然而, when a student disagrees with a faculty member regarding the issue of Academic integrity, the student has five business days to submit an appeal in writing to the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA). If the student fails to meet the above deadline for appealing a decision, the standing decision is final. The VPAA will convene the 学术诚信 committee to review the appeal within 15 business days of the request.
